The Erickson, Concord's Pacific newest luxury condominium development is created by master architect Arthur Erickson in partnership with Nick Milkovich Architects and Robert Ledingham of Ledingham Design Consultants. The Erickson is Concord's latest luxurious and sophisticated residence poised to become a Vancouver landmark.
The Erickson design features contoured concrete steel trussing and a curving framework covered in luminous glass on all sides that spirals upward towards the sky. Currently planned to be 20 floors, with just three units per floor, each residence offers expansive private balconies or terraces which include panoramic views of the False Creek waterfront, North Vancouver mountains or the city. Water views are offered on three sides of the building.
For tower suites, elevators with Dedicated Ride technology ensure security as well as speed and the utmost privacy. Upon arriving at each suite, elevator doors open silently into a grand foyer with floor-to-ceiling windows and commanding views. Throughout the building's interior, custom millwork, premium fixtures and finishes are standard, including top of the line appliances, limestone, granite and/or imported stone countertops as well as walnut and other hardwoods on floors and cupboards. In addition, The Erickson will incorporate the latest fibre-optic technology, security and amenities including a 24-hour concierge, private board room, and a full fitness facility including an ozonated pool and underwater sound system.
My vision for the Erickson was clear: design a residence worthy of the most treasured and award-winning waterfront site in downtown Vancouver, says Arthur Erickson. I wanted to create a landmark that not only evokes awe amongst those who behold it, but continuously inspires those who call it home.
With a choice of ground-level townhomes or tower suites, units are priced from approximately $1.6 million to $4 million and up. The Erickson is planned to be completed by 2008.
Arthur Erickson's previous accomplishments include the resort city of Al-Buhairat in Saudi Arabia, the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC, California Plaza in Los Angeles and the Museum of Glass in Washington, Tacoma. He has also earned the most industry's most prestigious award – the Gold Medal from the American Institute of Architects – the highest honour bestowed by the AIA.
